What this proves

A successful match proves that the selected file has the same SHA-256 digest recorded in the manifest. It detects accidental corruption or substitution after the manifest was created.

It does not prove that business rules were correct, that a file is safe to open, or who created it. Review the cleanup report and validation record separately.
